A fun and exciting class giving the student an overview of the stylistic periods of music and their unique characteristics.  Students will learn to recognize the sound of different orchestral, concert band, rock and roll and "pop" instruments.  Students will develop a historical perspective with reference to the various genres of muic and be exposed to the most prominent composers and musical artist represented in each style period of music.
